  • severe chest pain;
  • a severe allergic reaction;
  • severe burns or scalds;

3. Our Services

Dr.Dropin provides healthcare services, including online video consultations and in-person consultations, allowing individuals to receive medical advice, diagnosis, and treatment recommendations. All our Practitioners are licensed with their relevant bodies e.g., General Medical Council and are based in England.

You can find the availability and details of consultations through our website.

As a general rule, it is only possible to address one issue per doctor's appointment. A specified amount of time have been set aside for a consultation e.g., 15 minutes for General Practitioners (GPs). If you suspect that you have a more extensive treatment need that requires more time, please book two appointments.

Practitioners have the capability to diagnose and treat a variety of medically appropriate conditions that fall within the scope of primary care. Moreover, individual practitioners possess the expertise to perform particular procedures based on their specialised training. If there is a request for a specific procedure to be conducted during an appointment, such as the insertion of an intrauterine device or minor surgery, it must be discussed in advance by contacting hello@drdropin.uk before the appointment.

Dr. Dropin explicitly does not provide prescriptions for specific medications, which include but are not limited to the following: medications necessitating comprehensive monitoring, medications categorized as scheduled 1, 2, 3, & 4 controlled substances under the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971, or certain medication groups that are unsuitable for our service, such as benzodiazepines and hypnotics like zopiclone.

4. Eligibility

To access our services, you must be at least 18 years old. If you are under 18, you may use our services with the consent and supervision of your parent or guardian.

5. Registration and Accounts

You will need to create an account to access certain features of our services. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account information and for all activities that occur under your account.

6. Booking, Prices and Payment

You can book an appointment with an authorised Practitioner via the Patient Portal, on the website, in the clinic or over the phone. Medical treatment or advice can be given in the clinic or via online video consultations. The account holder can enter a written description of their symptoms and their medical history through the Patient Portal prior to the consultation. When the consultation starts, the Account Holder can describe their condition and problems to the Practitioner. The Practitioner can then perform a visual examination of the patient, diagnose when possible, and provide appropriate treatment and recommendations.

The current prices of the service are stated on the website. Please note that in the event that the Practitioner provides a prescription then this will be a private prescription and accordingly the cost of the medication will be set by the pharmacy which fulfils it.

When booking a consultation, the customer makes payment via the Patient Portal. The consultation is not confirmed until the payment is made.

If you wish to make a change to the date or time of your appointment you should do this via the Patient Portal as soon as possible, and at least 12 hours in advance. 100% of payment will be taken for any cancellations or rescheduling made with twelve (12) hours before your appointment is due.

We will advise you by email or telephone as soon as possible if we must amend, change, or cancel any appointment that you have booked.
